Pioneer made a number of other components and accessories, specifically to mount its SPEC series amps and pre-amps or adapt upper end cassette decks, tuners or equalizers for rack mounting.

JA-R2S Rack Mount System

The JA-R2S rack mounting system was offered by Pioneer to specifically mount the SPEC components introduced in the mid-1970s.  The RT-700 series and RT-900 series reel-to-reel tape decks were designed to mount in this rack. The JA-R2S used the industry standard EIA 19-inch mounting hole spacing.  It measured 20.25 inches wide by 45.0 inches high by 21.0 inches deep. It had a top shelf for a Pioneer turntable. Casters were used to permit ease of moving all the equipment.

JA-R102 Rack Handles

The JA-R102 rack handles were designed to permit rack mounting of the CT-F1250, CT-F1000, CT-F950 and CT-F900 cassette tape decks in the JA-R2S rack mounting system.  Existing hardware in the cassette decks was removed and these handles mounted to the sides.
