Updated some information on the SX-650. NOTICE: I will be attempting to move the Silver Pioneer Reference Site to a new webhosting service between April and May. When this has been done successfully, the new URL will be given here. The current URL will not expire for several more months.

Added a new page for the P-D70 CD Player, introduced in 1984, and after repeated requests and inquiries, the SX-1010 was also added to the website, and an image of the RT-2044 reel to reel tape deck was also added.

A new image of the SX-1980 now greets visitors to the Silver Pioneer Reference Site; images for the SA-7100 and SA-7500 were finally added to the Integrated Amplifier page.

A new Series 20 page was added under the Components listing so all those Class A components would now all be grouped on one page.  Added to the Series 20 page are the very rare D-23 Crossover and the F-28 Tuner, in addition to the C-21 Pre-amp and M22 and M-25 amplifiers which were already described on this site.

The superb VSA-E08 Audio Video amplifier was added to the Amplifier listings under the Unobtainia section as yet another example of a great piece of equipment that Pioneer chooses not to sell here.

A new A/V Receivers page was added under the Unobtainia section.  Pioneer sells components in both silver and champagne gold overseas--and yes, even some black components!

Three new areas were added to the site.  New Silver offers hope that some handsome silver finish components are starting to become available on the American market.  Unobtainia illustrates the many incredible components Pioneer manufactures that are sold only in Japan, Europe, England and other parts of the world.  And finally, a Manuals page was added with two links to the best sources for Pioneer owners manuals, brochures, service manuals and a great technical specifications booklet available.

The new Silver Pioneer website is launched with the webhosting comapny Doteasy.com. A new Manuals page and email Contact page is added to the site.

Webmaster applies for and receives the domain name www.silverpioneer.com.  Work on adding to the site began in March of 2002.  This included new pages for equalizers and a page for other components (Racks, rack handles, etc.).

1/15/2002

The webmaster of this site is informed by the webhosting company that the ability to upload new files to the website would no longer be available as part of the free (but with banner ads) hosting package.  Webmaster updated files as much as possible and began looking for a new web hosting company.  It would take months!
